[1:55] <zenpsycho> so if I come to depend on behavior that does not work in an SQL mapped database it will present a problem

[2:44] <zenpsycho> I add to the root's type.properties a mountpoint
[2:45] <zenpsycho> however, it doesn't get added as an actual object until the application accesses it.
[2:45] <zenpsycho> and when it does, its id becomes what looks like its property name
[2:46] <zenpsycho> and as a result, on application restart, it disappears from the application
[2:47] <zenpsycho> The workaround I've found is after adding a mountpoint, I explicitly make that property = new PrototypeName();
[2:47] <zenpsycho> then the DB doesn't forget that it exists
[2:58] <zenpsycho> to clarify when I said "doesn't get added as an actual object" I meant, it isn't persisted

[7:31] <zumbrunn> anyway... using mountpoint mappings is another things that could get you in to trouble later when switching from the xml db to sql, since mountpoint mappings with the embedded db seem to behave more like object mappings with the sql backend
